Kristin Kaye was the 2002 U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior National Champion and a member of the U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior and Senior National Teams from 2001-2003. After battling anorexia for three years, Kristin returned to rhythmic gymnastics in February of 2007, and became a member of the 2007-08 U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics Senior National Group Team. Nine months after what she thought was her final competition, Kristin was asked to return to the sport once again as a member of the 2009 U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships Group Team.
Kristin is passionate about sharing her story with others to show that full recovery from this illness is possible. The goals of Kristin’s speaking engagements are to bring attention to the seriousness and severity of eating disorders as well as inspire others to personal growth that leads to a greater self-confidence needed to obtain and sustain personal acceptance.
Kristin credits her full recovery to the integration of her faith into her treatment nearly 20 years ago. The decision to start going to church changed her life forever. Inspiring young teens and adults with the story God is writing of her life is a desire she hopes to pursue the rest of her life.
Kristin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheaton College in 2011 and her Masters of Science in Psychology from California Southern University in 2019. Kristin continues to work with those going through recovery and speaks on eating disorder awareness, also sharing of God’s magnificent love, the hope He brings, and the joy life becomes when you live it fully for Him!
